For tenants: My home

Connect your home, pay rent with proof, get receipts, report repairs and see your tenancy agreement.

If your landlord manages your home on OrbytHome, everything about your tenancy is in one place: My home.

Connect your home

  1. Your landlord sends you an invite link, usually on WhatsApp. It works for 14 days.
  2. Open it and sign in with your own account (or create one). Only accept if you live in the home it names.
  3. Tap Connect my account. You land on My home, showing your rent, dates and home.

Pay rent

  1. On My home, open Pay rent. It shows what's still owed and your landlord's bank account, with buttons to copy the number and name.
  2. Transfer from your own banking app, straight to your landlord.
  3. Tap I've paid: enter the amount, what it was for, the date and the transfer reference, and add a screenshot or PDF of your bank's receipt (up to 5 MB).
  4. Your landlord checks their statement and confirms it. You're emailed, the balance updates, and your receipt is ready to download under Payments. If they can't find it, they tell you why.

Report a problem

  1. Tap Report a problem: say what's wrong, the kind of problem, and where. Switch on Urgent if it's unsafe or the home can't be used.
  2. Add up to 5 photos.
  3. Follow it on My home: Open, Seen, In progress, Done, with your landlord's notes. You're emailed at each step.
  4. Changed your mind? Cancel it while it's still open.

Your tenancy agreement

Landlords in Lagos can prepare a written tenancy agreement on OrbytHome. Once signing opens, your landlord signs it and sends it to you to read, then sign or decline, on My home. Signing opens once the agreement has been reviewed by a lawyer.

Common questions

I paid but my balance hasn't changed.

It changes once your landlord confirms the payment against their bank statement. You're emailed when they do.

Where's my rent receipt?

On My home, under Payments, once the payment is confirmed.

My invite link doesn't work.

It may have expired (they last 14 days) or been used already. Ask your landlord for a new one.

My home is empty.

Your account isn't connected to your tenancy yet. Ask your landlord to send you an invite.

Can I pay rent by card on OrbytHome?

Not at the moment. You transfer from your own bank straight to your landlord, then tap I've paid.

I can't report another repair.

Each tenant can report 5 problems a day. If it's urgent, call your landlord.

Can I sign my tenancy agreement on OrbytHome?

Not yet. Landlords in Lagos can prepare one now, and signing opens after a legal review.
